Appellate Representation
Leonard F. Zandrow has had a variety of writing experiences. After obtaining a Master of Science degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, he worked full time as a copywriter and assistant account executive for an advertising agency in the Chicago area. Before graduating from Boston College Law School, he helped edit the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest.
After law clerking for two years with the Massachusetts Superior Court, he joined the Appellate Department of one of the largest litigation firms in Boston, where he ultimately became a partner. For many years, he has been a member of the Board of Editors of the Boston Bar Association's Bar Journal and the International Association of Defense Counsel's Defense Counsel Journal.
A majority of the decisions from the Massachusetts Appeals Court are unpublished dispositions, including some in which Mr. Zandrow served as counsel. However, over 40 of the cases handled by Mr. Zandrow have been published by the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and the trial courts of the Commonwealth. Mr. Zandrow continues to represent clients in summary judgment motions and appellate litigation with Brister & Zandrow, LLP and to accept referrals of such work from colleagues.
