Leonard F. Zandrow
Leonard Zandrow is a founding partner of Brister & Zandrow, LLP, a civil litigation firm established in 1995 with offices in Boston and South Dennis, MA. From 1983 to 1995, Mr. Zandrow had been a general partner at one of Boston's largest litigation firms.
Mr. Zandrow received his bachelors and masters degrees in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After graduating from Boston College Law School in 1982, he was a Law Clerk for the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court and served as the Chief Law Clerk during the 1982-1983 term.
From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Zandrow served on the Board of Directors of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association, Inc., the oldest and largest civilian organization serving individuals and families affected by spinal cord injury and disease. Since 1995, he has continued to be the General Counsel of this organization.
In the course of Mr. Zandrow's legal career, he has represented parties in complex civil litigation in spinal cord injury cases, motor vehicle accident law, construction law, products liability, toxic torts, insurance law and professional malpractice cases. His specialties include appellate practice, and he has been personally involved in over 40 published decisions in the Massachusetts state and Federal courts. He has also written certiorari and friend-of-the-court briefs in four cases before the United States Supreme Court, since joining the bar of that court in 1999.
Mr. Zandrow has been is a member of the American, Massachusetts, and Boston Bar Associations. Since 1996, he has served as one of the editors of the Defense Counsel Journal, a quarterly publication of the invitation-only International Association of Defense Counsel. He served on the Board of Editors of the Boston Bar Journal, a quarterly publication of the Boston Bar Association during the mid-1990's. He has also worked in a variety of capacities with numerous non-profit organizations and community groups, including the Town of Sharon's Personnel Board, the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Boston, and the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the International Who's Who of Professionals, Marquis Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders, and Strathmore's Who's Who.
Mr. Zandrow is also the Executive Director of the Justice Bridge Legal Center, a law incubator program sponsored by the University of Massachusetts School of Law.
